NECO past questions & answers
Prepare for NECO SSCE with topic-by-topic practice, theory answers and a simple plan that fits your exam date.
About NECO SSCE
The National Examinations Council (NECO) conducts the Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) in Nigeria, with an internal exam for school candidates and an external exam for private candidates. Like WAEC, NECO subjects usually include objective and theory papers, plus practicals for science subjects. A good NECO result can be used for admission alongside or instead of WAEC, depending on the institution.
How to prepare for NECO
- Practise NECO past questions by topic on iSharp to cover the full syllabus.
- Practise theory regularly and use theory marking to see what examiners look for.
- Combine with WAEC practice. The syllabuses overlap a lot, so WAEC past questions are excellent extra practice.
- Revise with flashcards for definitions, formulas and dates.
- Fix weak topics with mistake drills before moving on.
A 6-week NECO plan

|---|---|
| 1–2 | English and Mathematics topic practice daily, plus one other subject |
| 3–4 | Remaining subjects topic by topic, theory answers twice a week |
| 5 | Full past papers under time, review every mistake |
| 6 | Flashcards, light revision and rest before the exam |
