This policy explains how iSharp (“iSharp”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects your information when you use the iSharp mobile app and the website isharp.org.
1. Information we collect
- Account details: your name and email address.
- Exam choices: the exams and subjects you select, and your exam dates.
- Study progress: questions answered, scores, streaks, XP, mock results and study time.
- Ivy chats: messages and photos of questions you send to Ivy, your study buddy, so it can answer you.
- Device and notification data: push notification tokens, device type, app version and language.
- Crash and performance data: collected through Firebase Crashlytics to help us fix problems.
- Payment information: Premium payments are processed by Paystack. We do not store your full card details.
- Advertising data: on the free plan we show ads through Google AdMob, which may use device identifiers.
2. How we use your information
- To create and run your account and save your progress.
- To personalise your study plan, reminders and practice.
- To answer your questions through Ivy.
- To send study reminders and important updates (respecting quiet hours).
- To process Premium payments and prevent fraud.
- To show ads on the free plan.
- To fix bugs and improve the app.
3. Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal information. The parent you link can see your study summary.
4. Data retention
We keep your information while your account is active. You can delete your account in the app under Profile → Settings → Account, or by emailing us.
5. Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, export or delete your data, or object to some processing, by contacting us at hello@isharp.org.
6. Children
iSharp is designed for secondary school students preparing for exams. [Describe your age requirements and parental consent process for users under 18.]
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. No system is 100% secure.
8. Changes
We may update this policy. We will post the new version here and update the date above.
